These photographs of american author William S. Burroughs (b. 1914 - d. 1997) were shot in London, England in 1972, and in New York, New York, USA in 1975 using black and white Tri-x film by Kodak. The book also contains photos of writer Brion Gysin, and Led Zeppelin singer Jimmy Page.
This portfolio uses the latest digital papers and digital pigment based inkjet printing techniques to reproduce the rich, lustrous surface and tonal range of traditional chemically printed, silver halide black and white photographs. The paper we are using for this project is Canson's Baryta Photographique 310 gsm, with Epson pigment based inks.
The portfolio is boxed in a hand-made custom clamshell style box by Sophia Kramer. It features and inset canvas panel with a cover image and title.
BURROUGHS 23 Portfolio is currently priced at US$4800 and is limited to 23 copies.
